Manu Jaguar

Manu National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1987. Manu's pristine and highly biodiverse forest offers ideal conditions to see wildlife and can be easily reached from Cusco.

Manu National Park was created in 1973. It is one of the largest and most important conservation units of the world. Being the largest tropical park in America Manu protects an entire virgin watershed, comprising great extensions of tropical lowland rainforest at 300 m as well as cloud and elfin forests on the Andean slopes and reaching up to Puna grasslands at 4100 m above sea level.

The Manu National Park Tours 7 days offer a complete tour of Manu, including the Reserved Zone of the Park. We visit the Salvador & Otorongo oxbow lakes to see giant river otters, but also travel to the big macaw clay lick and the tapir lick in Maquisapayoj.

Meet the Machiguenga Indians at their lodge inside the Reserved Zone!
